A brand new silhouette from the brand, one that follows a minimalist take on the aggregated barrel wide leg pants. A product that's been in the works for the past 6 months has finally come to light. The perfect pant to style this Spring and Summer.

Perfect for catching flights, going out and standing out.

How to Style Them

Because the SUHU barrel pant naturally creates a sculpted, bowed line on the bottom, contrast is key:

  • Pair them with a fitted tee, a tucked-in tank, or an oversized tee to match the pants and create relaxed outfit.

  • Show off the tapered leg with a sleek and clean low-profile sneaker, or lace up derby for a formal look or a loafer which has transitioned into a formal sneaker in this current fashion climate.

The origins of the Barrel leg pants:

While barrel pants ("horseshoe" or "banana" pants) feel strikingly modern, their design spans over a century of fashion evolution:

  • The earliest recording of the barrel shape trace back to 1920s where they were used for utility and workwear purposes such as riding and mid-century utility wear. The wide, curved leg provided freedom of movement for manual labor and riding without excess loose fabric at the ankles.

  • In the 1980s and '90s, Japanese designers like Yohji Yamamoto popularized sculptural, cocoon-like tailoring. These anti-fit, architectural shapes challenged traditional body-con trends, favoring volume and artistic drape over tight tailoring.

  • The silhouette re-emerged on contemporary runways through luxury fashion houses experimenting with exaggerated denim and trousers. What started as a daring runway trend quickly became a modern staple, beloved for giving the waist definition while letting the hips and legs breathe.
